The Canberra Calligraphy Society's 2015 Annual Exhibition was opened on the 23rd of October at the Hellenic Club in Woden by Gemma Black who gave a very witty speech.
The prizes that were awarded was due to the generous donation by Steven Brown of Bespoke Framing.  The categories were, best theme piece, best first time exhibitor, best technically skillful and Steve's favourite.  Best theme piece and best first time exhibitor went to Sue Quayle for her lovely piece, 'In the Beginning'. Steve's choice went to Angela Hillier's 'Love' piece and best technically skillful went to Lyndell Dobbs for her book on Bob Dylan's song, Masters of War.
Congratulations and thanks to Sue Quayle and all her helpers who have put together a wonderful exhibition.  Many thanks also to all the exhibitors.  The standard of work is incredibly high which has made for a great showing.
The photographer apologises for any photos that do not do the work justice.  The only excuse is that photographing works that are behind glass can be difficult.
