As Gemma has advised, "'We will be stretching the imagination of the pencil as a humble tool and look at it in the light as an alternative tool for lettering and grounds. We will be working on paper as well as watercolour canvas to achieve a variety of results. We will also be branching into wearable pencil as we'll explore the use of pencil in textiles. Working on calico, fixing the colour in preparation so the article can be washed. A truly fun, experimental and enjoyable workshop!"
Just some of the knots produced at the workshop.
The title of this workshop left many of us wondering what it was really about. Then we found out - PLAY TIME !!!!!
We learnt about presenting letters differently, with various forms of decorations using lines and colours. Not much more to say really so look below for some great examples of student's work. Thanks Christine.
